Overview about the Position/Purpose:

To provide advice to the COO on any potential security risks to the special zones act.  To identify and assess threats, put plans in place to mitigate or prevent security risk, decide on how to avoid, reduce or transfer such risks.

Group Risk Management

        • Plan, design and implement appropriate risk management framework or processes in consultation with Management and special zones tenants.
        • Analyse risks, identify, describe and estimate the risks and threats affecting projects, other strategic and operational areas of the special zones.
        • Acts as primary liaison between the company and the special zones tenants towards ensuring effective management of various risk factors in the special zones.
        • Develop & Implement Security Risk Policy consistent with applicable legislation and guidelines of ACSA; National Key Point structures and the company related to the diversity of operations and ensure that resources are available to implement the policy;
        • Implement special security projects as directed by the COO from time to time;
        • Develop an effective communication strategy/mechanism to create a culture of security risk awareness within the special zones;
        • Plan and implement Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM);
        • Conduct periodic appraisals of the security arrangements at the special zones and implement corrective measures where necessary;
        • Facilitate screening/ vetting services and provide related profiles to relevant authorities;
        • Develop and maintain investor/tenant database and advise on how to respond to changes in investor/tenant characteristics and demands related to security arrangements;
        • Provide support in defining appropriate support services for assessing and monitoring risks associated with functionally regulated activities to enable compliance with the security regulatory framework relevant to special zones act;
        • Implementation of internal & external security audit recommendations;
        • Market the security risk mandate and its functions at a strategic level to the Management and special zones tenants;
        • Conduct Intelligence/Security Risk awareness programmes throughout the special zones.

      • Evaluating security risks and providing advice to mitigate security risks associated with projects and related operational activities to ensure cost effectiveness and alignment with set budget parameters.

Minimum Ideal  

        • Relevant Degree Post degree qualification
  •   + 5 years in security risk management and project
          • management (MISS) environment.
        • Completed course in Security Risk Management or related courses.

        • Have an extensive understanding of security risk (document, personnel, business, physical, computer and communication security)

      • Have extensive experience in research methodology;
      • Possess knowledge of applicable legislation (primary and subordinate) and security prescripts issued by the SSA and SAPS;
        • Expertise in Security Risk Management or related field;
        • Understanding of information and personnel security aspects and functions;

        • Extensive experience in research methodology;
        • Possess the ability to handle internal and/or external pressures;
      • Registered as a member of the SMF;

My client is looking for 3 self-motivated individuals to provide support and professional advice to their Business Units with regard to SCM policies, procedures, processes, practices, systems, and frameworks which are governed by the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and other Legislation.
Key Performance Responsibilities:
    • Attend to all matters related to procurement processes in line with Supply Chain Management policies, procedures, systems, and frameworks.
    • Attend to an end-to-end administrative matters related to quotations processing, specifications, evaluations, and adjudication processes.
    • Provide professional service to suppliers and other related stakeholders.
    • Provide assistance to manage governance, risk, and compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
    • Advanced diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management / Financial Science / Logistics or equivalent and relevant qualification with NQF 7 (Postgraduate qualification or equivalent and relevant qualification at NQF 8 will be an added advantage)
    • 3 years’ experience in the relevant field, with 1 year in the finance role.
Competencies in this position:
    • extensive knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures, processes, practices, systems, and frameworks related to supply chain management is essential.
    • in-depth knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, Generally Recognised Accounting Practice is essential.
    • advanced planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
    • excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
    • excellent computer literacy and experience in the application of software tools including (Ms Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, and Outlook) will be advantageous.
    • The possession of a valid driver’s licence with at least one-year practical driving experience and a willingness to travel is essential.
