As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing stable and reliable databases, according to BET’s needs, this will also include functions of developing, testing, improving and maintaining new and existing databases to help the business retrieve data effectively. You will work closely with developers to ensure system consistency. Communication and organisational skills are key for this position, along with a problem-solution attitude
Minimum Requirements:
  • Working towards or completed Diploma/Degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with MS SQL Server.
  • + 3 years of experience in Software Development.
  • Experience with C# (.Net).
  • Experience in explaining complex matters in a simple way.


Advantage

  • Couchbase, Cockroach DB, Redis, Elasticsearch or Oracle.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data integration


Key Responsibilities:

  • Involved in Software Development Lifecycle by analysing business requirements and understanding the functional work flow of information from source systems to destination systems.
  • Responsible for analysing numerous of data sources and their mapping onto a master model.
  • Design and implementation of masters and output structures.
  • Develop Microsoft SQL databases.
  • Do performance optimisation of Microsoft SQL databases.
  • Develop SQL procedures, triggers, views, functions, and reports to support enhancement to critical SQL based business systems.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data integration.

We are searching for a people-centric, process-driven HR Consultant who will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to Line Managers and Team Members. If you’re a pro at workforce planning, succession planning and industrial relations then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

 


Minimum requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience as an HR generalist.
  • Relevant qualification or studying towards.
  • Computer literate with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Good understanding of labour laws.

 


Responsibilities:

Recruitment and selection:

  • Ensuring that all aspects of the recruitment and selection process function effectively.
  • Advertising vacancies on the relevant career portals.
  • Track, screen and submit suitable applicants for Management review.
  • Scheduling and conducting interviews in conjunction with Management.
  • Conducting all pre-employment checks and references on selected candidates.
  • Compiling offers of employment for selected candidates.
  • Providing effective and efficient workforce management.
  • Ensuring the management of vacancies within the portfolio while utilizing the Employment Equity plan to guide vacancy placements.
  • Creating a platform that ensures all Team Members clearly understand the take-on process.
  • Ensuring that new Team Member’s personal files are created and that all new employee details are accurately submitted to Payroll before the cut-off date of each month.
Onboarding:
  • Ensuring induction is arranged timeously and that new Team Members are properly inducted.
Performance management:
  • Ensuring job descriptions outline the duties and responsibilities for the employee in the position and lays the foundation against which the employee will be evaluated.
  • To ensure every Team Member signs a performance agreement aligned to strategic priorities.
  • The Human Resources Consultant is to advise all parties of the principles and objectives of an evaluation process by providing training for Managers who will be responsible for the actual evaluations/ appraisals.
  • Ensuring all relevant parties are equipped with the tools to manage performance.
  • Encourage ongoing one-on-one performance discussions.
  • To proactively identify and eliminate performance management obstacles.
Talent management/succession planning:
  • Ensuring a holistic career discussion with the identified talented Team Members through a talent forum process.
  • Ensure retention strategies are implemented to retain skilled labour.
  • Training initiatives must be used to create individual development plans, fast track and close skills gaps.
  • Ensuring the work climate allows for attraction and retention of top talent and drives a culture of employee engagement.
Employment equity:
  • Ensure Employment Equity meetings are set up and the necessary committee members are made aware of dates.
  • Employment Equity is considered when recruitment, transfers or promotions are being conducted.
Industrial relations:
  • Implement IR in line with group practice.
  • Ensure hearings are set up timeously and all relevant parties are made aware.
  • Ensuring that the dismissal process is followed consistently.
  • Keep up to date with CCMA cases, schedule and ensure Managers are prepared.
Injury on duty:
  • Responsible for the IOD process.
  • Log IOD onto the system.
  • Sending claim numbers to the Manager to forward to Team Members for their medical reports.
  • Following up on the status of claims.
Terminations:
  • Ensure relevant parties are timeously informed of terminations.
  • Conducting exit interviews with Team Members who resign.
  • Identify trends and address them with Management.
General:
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Any other related duties that might be required.
  • Ensure all Human Resources policies and procedures are efficient and effectively communicated.
  • Creating awareness of strategic key human resources.
