RECEPTIONIST

 

Introduction

A company focusing on CSR situated in Pretoria East is seeking to employ an energetic and organised Receptionist with at least 3 years’ experience to join their team.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education (essential):

  • Matric

Minimum education (desirable):

  • Certificate in business administration, secretarial or similar

Minimum applicable experience (years):

  • 3-4 years

Required nature of experience:

  • Business development
  • Key client relationship management

Skills and Knowledge (essential):

  • Reception
  • Office Administration
  • Procurement of general office consumables and stock
  • Switchboard
  • Skills and Knowledge (essential)
  • MS Office
  • Computer Literacy

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • To ensure that the front desk area is to be cleaned and is always in a tidy order;
  • To maintain an efficient and harmony working environment among employees, clients and mangers;
  • Completion of temporary work assigned by the leadership;
  • Answer telephone, screen and direct calls;
  • Take and relay messages;
  • Provide information to callers;
  • Direct persons to correct destination;
  • Deal with queries from the public and customers;
  • Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of the organisation;
  • General administrative and clerical support;
  • To greet customers and senior members of the company;
  • Serve coffee or tea to guests;
  • Greet persons entering organisation in a professional manner while restricting their access to the facility without proper escort;

A reputable golf estate in Pretoria has an exciting opportunity available – they are looking for a Function and Events Coordinator with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and within a hospitality environment.

Job Purpose:

The main purpose of the job is coordinate functions at the various venues (including golf events) through efficient communication between the client and internal departments to ensure that the guests’ expectations are exceeded.

Experience and other requirements:

  • Matric certificate (Essential)
  • Hospitality or Tourism Management qualification (Desirable)
  • 2 years’ experience in event coordination or catering/banqueting
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle a requirement.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives.
  • Liaise, meet, and discuss the clients’ requirements with the caterers and suppliers to ensure that quality products are supplied
  • Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success.
  • Prepare budgets and ensure adherence.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers

Salary:
