The Department:
Our highly experienced creative department is made up of 4 core teams: Creative Design, Copy, UI/UX and Content/Translations that is responsible for all digital and offline creative work. These teams are supported by our in-house studio coordinators who schedule and manage the department’s workload. The creative department consists of junior, mid-weight, senior and lead creatives. Our standards are very high and this is reflected in the quality of our brands and products across all channels. As an international company, we work across different languages and cultures and have a diverse range of nationalities within the creative team. We work closely with the development team and keep up to date on the latest trends in design and web technologies ensuring we product the best possible user experience across all touchpoints.
Purpose of Job
As a Senior Designer you will be creating assets that range between motion, digital and print for our brands. Able to think outside the box, be a problem solver, expected to communicate with stakeholders and team members. You will be providing support where needed to the wider design and creative teams through effective coaching and mentoring. You will be part of a team of talented creative designers of all experience levels. Where necessary you will provide support to the leads and design managers.
Duties include, but not limited to :
The position will involve the following areas of responsibility:
  • Guide team members on best work practices when working on campaigns.
  • Taking ownership of the life cycle of small to medium size projects.
  • Coaching and mentoring designers on best practices.
  • Supporting management vision on guiding designers on organising workloads, prioritisation and time management.
  • Identifying process issues within the design team and seeking solutions along with the Leads and Managers to resolve them.
  • Identifying new design trends – ways of improving current creative.
  • Help drive topics of discussion for creative sessions.
  • Help in the development of junior and midweight designers.
  • Being a brand guardian;
  • Advising on and signing off work
  • Advise the team on brand awareness and principles
  • Create marketing material for our Marketing, Promotions and Paid Social departments which will include display banners, landing pages, direct marketing packs and motion graphics video.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to fulfil briefs on time, on brand and to a high standard.
  • Follow principles of good design and ensure it is of the highest quality, focusing on attention to detail.
  • Maintain graphic and technical knowledge by attending design workshops and reviewing professional publications where possible.
  • Taking a proactive approach to develop your knowledge and gain experience
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable working with strict brand guidelines and implementing them across all channels.
  • Lead and direct motion and video creative.

  • Confident in presenting your work, as well as taking part in presentations to stakeholders
  • The ability to provide time estimations on jobs that come into the studio.
  • Good understanding of composition and lighting with regards to photography, as well as having the
    ability to retouch photos.
  • Champion the voice of the customer through your work and understand the audiences you work with.
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable working with brand guidelines
  • Good knowledge of design processes and tools, for example, understanding and interpreting briefs, Workflow tools like Workfront and Wrike. Using Digital Asset Management tools. Processes include, but are not limited to conceptualising, brainstorming, presenting your ideas etc.
  • Possess strong design and conceptual skills, as well as creatively being able to collaborate with others including brainstorming sessions.
  • A good working knowledge of responsive design and mobile first practices
  • Highly skilled and experienced in using the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite and other creative software.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and working processes.
  • Knowledge of HTML 5 in design
  • Candidates without portfolios/showreels will not be considered.
