The CSM will work across our key clients within FinServe, entertainment, media & travel who are operating multi-channel, across countries and across our Facebook platforms. We are looking for a strategic and enthusiastic solution-driver who puts customers at the core of everything. This person has a passion for marketing and business development, and firm belief that the future of marketing is identity-based, data-driven and grounded in measurable outcomes. With proven understanding of online brand and performance marketing on Facebook and Instagram, the CSM is responsible to drive revenue by advising on campaigns on Facebook platforms, negotiating and optimizing the advertising solutions, and use data and analytics to build consultative advice for our customers. The CSM works in close collaboration with a client partner, jointly operating as a strong business team and trusted advisor towards our clients. Success in this position requires a high level of consultative and analytical skills (campaign analytics, dashboarding, ad solution optimization), with focus on client development. The CSM must be solution-oriented, with curiosity and the ability to drive impact in a dynamic, team-focused environment, while moving fast against challenging deadlines. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, yet strategic individual. We look for an ‘enabler’ mentality and the ability to establish strong partnerships with clients and their agencies– both in terms of culture and business outcomes – in a constantly changing environment with high expectations. Executive Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa Responsibilities
Lead and develop key accounts
Builds and manages relationships within the clients and with agency partners (media, creative, marketing partners
Solid understanding of (Digital) Marketing, Technology, and accompanying Facebook advertising solutions
Experience in ad tech/online marketing technologies and understands how to implement them for an effective and efficient marketing strategy
  • Drive product adoption
    Capability to work in equal partnerships with client partners, identifying, creating, and implementing marketing solutions grounded on achieving measurable business results for our business partners
    Innovation-based solution perspective, building on client needs
    Radar for lighthouse innovation opportunities, with focus on projects that unlock new sources of revenue
    Strong profiling as external advisor, educating clients and agencies on product solutions and best practices, and ultimately grow existing business partnerships

Minimum Qualifications
5+ years’ previous experience in marketing, media and/or consulting companies
Experience within the marketing industry and business development trends within the industr
Understanding of both brand marketing and online (performance) marketing and major advertising success metrics
Experience in working effectively with cross functional teams and across different levels of senior management (internally and externally)
Experience with analyzing datasets delivering upon actionable insights required, advanced Excel skills preferred
Need for strong project management, communication and prioritization skills and internal/external partner management
Ability to communicate, collaborate and work effectively in an experienced team
Ability to confidently present to external clients
Strong passion for Technology and Facebook mission
Have a good Customer and industry Knowledge
Previous Experience working within FinServ, travel or entertainment is beneficial

Facebook is seeking an experienced Strategic Partner Manager to build and enhance successful relationships with news partners in Sub-Saharan Africa. This person will collaborate with a diverse range of news organizations and journalists across the region to implement strategic partnership plans and programs around Facebook products, tools and services. The News Partnerships team at Facebook works towards providing impactful solutions to news organizations for reaching new audiences and revenue growth. The team also works to strengthen the links between journalists and the communities they serve, and helps address the main challenges facing the media and journalism sector through skills training initiatives and various programs. This job requires high levels of creativity and problem-solving abilities, as you will be helping your partners develop innovative social experiences and business solutions on Facebook and Instagram. You will represent Facebook at industry events and media interviews, develop external relationships at executive levels and serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, articulate their vision yet also roll up their sleeves to get the job done. You will have a sophisticated knowledge of the news industry on the continent, its content strategies and business models, and the ability to plan, budget and execute programs that add value to the goals of both Facebook and our media partners. In addition, you will apply your knowledge of Africa’s media and political landscape to work with cross-functional colleagues on addressing challenges faced by Facebook in the news industry. This position is based in our Johannesburg or Lagos offices and will involve travel.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with a growing and diverse set of news organizations, such as newspapers, broadcasters, digital-first publishers, journalists and news industry bodies
  • Develop expertise on your partners goals & priorities, gather industry insights, and keep your finger on the pulse of the news industry in your region and how Facebook can support it
  • Contribute to partner success by providing guidance on optimal use of Facebook & Instagram tools and services, compliance with Community Standards and other rules, as well as content strategy
