The main purpose of this position is:

To support the business by performing the duties of a Stoma Nursing Services Specialist by advising on all aspects of Stoma Care

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To educate and assist Nursing Staff with the safe and effective delivery of care within the designated area and ensure a high standard of patient care in liaison with Ward Managers, Consultants and other professionals.
  • Evaluate and review patterns of working, giving professional support to the ward / department in conjunction with the lead ET/Nurse in the clinic.
  • To educate and assist Nursing staff with pre -operative assessment, citing and counselling of patients
  • To educate and assist Nursing staff with postoperative support and care to patients
  • To assist Nursing staff with selection of suitable postoperative products.
  • To schedule appointments with patients who cannot attend hospital clinics and, if requested by Product Specialist (after approval by Sales & Product Manager)
  • Contact SASS patients who might need help/guidance on the Company’s wound care products or general stoma care
  • To complete required administration tasks which may include salesforce.com [ETMS], sample requests for patients, recording boot stock inventories twice a week, and completing monthly reports on activities.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) AS Professional Nurse.
  • Stoma therapy qualification / currently working as a Stoma therapy Nurse / working in a GIT ward or busy doing a Stoma therapy course would be helpful.
  • Preferred SASA Stoma Certification
  • 4+ years’ experience in a clinical setting working with patients and/or end users
  • Able to travel

Main purpose of the role:

Overall function focuses on partnering with teams to implement HR policies and practices and act as a support role for all employees on people related mattersThe HRBP will serve as a liaison between the business line and HR to assess human resources needs in areas such as employment, recruitment, training and development, performance management, policy implementation and legal complianceResponsibilities:

The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role include, but are not limited to:
  • ER and compliance: Provide advice and support to the Managers on employee relations issues and issues pertaining to – SA Labor Law and legal compliance, compliance with Twisp HR policies and practices, advise on formal corrective measures/ disciplinary action process and investigations, conflict mediation and resolution
  • Performance Management & Incapacity: supports Managers with the management of poor work performance process in conjunction with Managers
  • Recruiting (Region specific):
    • Liaising with recruitment agencies: Facilitate candidate and agency feedback and respond to all applicants who have submitted their CVs.
    • Screen CVs and compiling a shortlist.
    • Manage and implement the pre-employment screening process – e.g.: ensuring all pre-employment background and credit checks are completed. Ensure that Sales Assessments are sent to candidates and completed.
    • Facilitate the interview, recruitment administration and post hire process. Action items may include, but not limited to: scheduling and conducting interviews, feedback to agencies and candidates, compiling onboarding & new starter documents to submit to payroll and coordinating contract signing meetings.
    • Update interview guides, prepare job descriptions for all vacancies & update on portals.
    • Manage Talent Pool.
    • Manage Employee Referral Program (Coastal HRBP).
    • Coach Hiring Managers on Recruitment Hiring processes and techniques.
  • Exit process: ensuring compliance with Termination SOP, facilitating the exit interview process.
  • Infield support to employees: facilitating employee HR queries: Engagement: drive and follow-up on engagement initiatives, driving values and related.
  • Training and Development:
    • LMS compliance (follow-up on completion of content and assessments).
    • In conjunction with L&D Manager, recommend targeted developmental activities (non-sales functional related). Coaching to be done during infield visits.
    • Infield coaching for Line Managers.
  • Induction & Onboarding:
    • Onboarding: ensures employees get Induction books and facilitates questions regarding content. Ensures employees are supported during the onboarding & probation process e.g.: KPIs are discussed.
    • Conducts and facilitates Induction.
  • Probation: ensure adherence to probation processes.
  • Payroll: ensuring employees Biometrics is working and facilitating queries to Managers and Payroll Controller.
  • HR Admin: Collate contracts, offer letters, promotion letters and salary amendment forms (HRBP Coastal to own this function).
  • Reporting (HR, recruitment and training Metrics).
  • Managing HR budgets (Recruitment & Training budget).

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Matric or NQF equivalent.
  • Diploma/certificate in HR.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in similar role.
  • Ideally in a retail or FMCG environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
