- Orange Cyberdefense is a leading cyber security services and solutions provider, and we are currently looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our team in Pretoria.
The role of the IT Support Specialist is to support our internal users across a range of devices and applications. You will be a natural problem solver and enjoy thinking your way out of a technical corner!
We need someone who is friendly and patient, but confident and persistent when needed. You will be offered full training and support alongside your existing knowledge, and have the opportunity to be involed in a wide array of IT projects.
Your key responsibilities as an IT Support Specialist will be:Providing first line support for all IT issues raised via ticketing systemPurchasing and configuring of new laptops for staffIT School introduction to systems for new employeesMaking sure all allocated systems are patched and updatedAcknowledging/reviewing all systems alerts, escalate if neededInstalling of virtual machinesHelping with managing of vm’s, software, new installs, updatesManaging office networking, patching network leads etc
Managing telephone system extensions
Managing the new Joiner, Movers, and Leavers (JML) process
Supporting Windows and iOS-based devices including laptops and mobiles
Being part of an International IT team and deal with support cases/tickets using the Salesforce Service Cloud ticketing system
Helping create documentation/user guides
Building new and replacement laptops from scratch
Taking end-to-end ownership of IT issues and keeping users updated with progress
Providing IT training to users
Installing software and security updates on laptops and servers
Creating email accounts and distribution groups on Office 365 platform
Administrating IT applications
To join us as an IT Support Specialist, you must hold the following qualifications and experience:
You must have an IT related qualifications or relevant experience within IT support
You must have a good understanding of basic IT support diagnosis and analysis
You must have Linux experience and a basic understanding of networking
You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
You will preferably have experience of configuring firewalls, systems monitoring, running virtual marchines and cloud computing preferably too
You will preferably have experience of setting up laptops, server hardware and installing of virtual machines and various software
