Detailed Job Description

TRAINING
  • Compile Staff User Manuals for the use of Workshop Administration Clerks
  • Workshop administration staff training when needed including any newly appointed workshop clerical staff member
  • One on One training and or group training at scheduled venues
  • Co-ordinate yearly training for John Deere, JCB, Stihl & Jupidex with Divisional Service Manager
  • Join as committee member and attend meetings when required
  • Assist with the applications and uploading of apprentice’s data on Merseta portal (Agriculture & Vehicle Departments)
  • Compile, distribute, follow up on ageing DTAC reports for South Africa, Kenya and Uganda

LABOUR RATES

  • Communication with Franchises (Non-John Deere) and Mascor branches regarding warranty labour rates and processes, ensuring all labour rates are entered onto the system for use by the branches.
  • Yearly Labour Rate Request for John Deere Warranty for South Africa, Kenya and Uganda
  • Updating of Warranty Labour Rates on equip for Kenya and Uganda on a monthly basis

WARRANTY

  • Oversee Warranty Recons
  • Compile John Deere Warranty Labour Short Paid Report for South Africa
  • JD Warranty Return Shipment of Parts for Warranty Recalls – DHL
  • Monitor John Deere return warranty status
  • Transfer to or accept machinery from responsible dealer (Push and Pull)
  • Assist with Problematic Claims for South Africa, Kenya and Uganda
  • Progress Meetings with Warranty Claims Clerk & Divisional Manager

PRODUCT & IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMMES (PIPS)

  • Compile, distribute, follow up and update PIP reports for South Africa, Kenya and Uganda

NEW MODEL QUALIFICATION (NMQ) – John Deere, JCB & Stihl

  • Monitor New Model Qualifications (NMQ) with Divisional Service Manager
  • Carryout NMQ special tool quotations and present to Divisional Service Manager for approval
  • Order and distribute Special Tools to Mascor branches
  • Request and follow up on Asset forms from Mascor branches for special tool orders to ensure capturing of assets

OTHER DUTIES

  • Carry out tasks requested by the Divisional Service Manager
  • Compile Policy Adjustment Report for South Africa
  • Compile Standard Operating Procedures for the Service Department
  • Assist IT Department with Service Department related queries
  • General Problem Solving and Assistance for the entire Service Department
  • Verify Comebacks on Comeback Report (resolve any issues with branch manager and divisional service manager)
  • System Updates and Upgrades Meetings when necessary
  • Collect leave, training and comeback information from all branches
  • Assist with preparation and attend annual service meeting
  • Assist at Marketing Activity Days, when necessary.

Qualifications:
Matric-National Senior Certificate- Grade 12 (Essential)
NQF L4 – School/College/Training Certificates (Essential)

Experience:
Microsoft office: Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint. Office 365 an advantage – 0 year (Essential)
John Deere Courses: Pathways, Workshop Warranty Claims – 0 year (Essential)
Equip(System Administrator) Approved Dealer Management System – 0 year (Essential)
