Established Law Firm with Head Office in Cape Town is looking to staff their local Eastern Cape branch in King Williams Town. Candidate will work in both the Commercial and Conveyancing Department.

Responsibilities, not limited to:

• The candidate will attend to a wide range of duties which shall include, but not be limited to, consulting with clients
• Attending to junior conveyancing functions associated with the department
• Drafting of contracts
• Signing of transfer and bond documents with clients
• Drafting of conveyancing documents and general duties expected from an attorney / conveyancer
• The candidate will be required to work independently but also as part of a team

Qualifications

4-year Law Degree, Admitted as Attorney and Conveyancer.

Skills

• Stable work record. Previous experience in commercial law and drafting of contracts,
• Be a multi-tasker, diligent, be able to work independently
• Have a passion for the law and commerce.

Audit Clerk required for wholesale company based in Queenstown. You will be responsible for producing monthly management statements and reviewing VAT reconciliations and processing VAT returns.

Your role will include:

• Attend to tax computation for all group entities
• Liaise with external auditors regarding the annual audit
• Update Fixed Asset Registers
• Review, identify and resolve abnormal General Ledger entries
• Liaise and work closely with bookkeepers
• Assist the Financial Manager
• Processing and retrieve reports from Pastel

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

• Grade 12
• University Degree/Diploma in Financial Accounting
• Financial Completed Articles
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
• Strong in Excel and fast learner of new systems
• Good knowledge of CaseWare
• Good knowledge of Pastel
• Attention to detail and a good understanding of and actioning financial transactions
• Process and system driven and have a passion for finance and problem solving
