As part of our continuous expansion, we are looking for a talented new business sales executive to help us drive the adoption and growth of our full end-to-end offering, focusing on winning new customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Articulating and demonstrating Temenos solutions through strategic value-based selling, building strong business cases, developing a return on investment analysis, and using other references and industry data to build relationships at multiple levels and ultimately drive deals from inception to close.
  • Working with customer stakeholders to understand their bank’s strategy, challenges, and opportunities and articulating how Temenos can help them achieve their objectives.
  • Creating value by partnering with technical and non-technical executives to support their transformation journey by showcasing the commercial and technology value of our solutions.
  • Building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline and accurately tracking quarterly forecasts/revenue.
  • Balancing quarterly results while keeping a clear line of sight of strategic and long term revenue opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for your territory based on data-driven customer research and market insight.
  • Collaborating with various distributed internal teams to ensure the seamless execution of end-to-end sales cycles and ensure the highest levels of customer advocacy.
  • Proactively builds and fosters long-term relationships with senior executives, thought leaders, influencers, and stakeholders in the banking and financial services sectors.
  • Establishes and fosters relationships with primary alliance partners and identifies new market and growth opportunities.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Deep knowledge of the financial services industry; the trends, challenges, and innovations.
  • Proven track record of success in selling complex technology solutions to the financial services sector.
  • A consultative and “hunter” sales approach which enables listening to and understanding customer needs .
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with an ability to translate business requirements into value propositions which engage a range of audiences.
  • Data-driven and able to use data to tell stories, engage clients and create value and drive clients to action.
  • Able to navigate change and deal with ambiguity.
  • Culturally aware and experience of working in a globally matrixed organisation.
  • Ambitious with an entrepreneurial spirit, energy, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  • A passion for selling!
  • Fluency in English, other local languages are a plus.
  • A business and technical background to be able to engage and ensure buy-in at C-level and with IT teams.

THE ROLE

Senior Technical Presales Consultants provide specialist pre-sales services to current and prospective clients, distributors, and partners to facilitate and enable sales, deployment support of TEMENOS products and services. The Business Solution Group (BSG) is responsible for ensuring that current and prospective clients understand the features of the product and are accountable for making sure that the correct decision is made, determined by the needs of the client. Pre-Sales activities include, but are not limited system engineering aspects, product presentations, answering clients questionnaires, creating collateral, perform training and troubleshooting. Senior Technical Presales Consultants are expected to train, educate and transfer knowledge to more junior BSG Consultants.

This role is to cover Africa, as such candidates must be able to travel up to 70% of the time across the whole region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work independently, without day-to-day supervision or direction.
  • Drive the pre-sales phase by introducing TEMENOS product/services offering and provide product demonstrations, system architecture, system requirements etc. – by interfacing with prospective and current customers, distributors and partners (both at business and technical level) and recommend system solutions that ensure the optimum usage and utilisation of TEMENOS products and services.
  • Answering / RFIs, Designing Technical Solution adjusted to the Client Requirements.
  • Preparing and delivering Solution based Product Presentations
  • Continuous Update on latest Temenos Technical modules, Architecture, Channels and Technical trends
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them to technical specifications.
  • Ability to create scenarios requested by clients and execute them in T24 environment.
  • Assist Sales Managers with qualifying individual deals.
  • Provide specialist support to other TEMENOS consultants, distributors and partners in technical aspects, and build and enhance technical credibility in customer relations.
  • Stay current with market trends and observe functional and technical changes and advances.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Technical aspects: The candidate should have exposure/knowledge to banking /financial domain Technical Architecture, Development, Integration, Channels Security. Knowledge of T24 Technical modules and architecture will be considered an advantage but not mandatory
    Ideal candidates would come from a banking technology domain, coming from the IT department of or the financial services companies.
  • Pre-Sales skills: Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, this includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques such as Target Account Selling (TAS)
  • Educational & Proficiency level: Professional with generally a minimum 5+ years of domain experience.
  • Languages: Fluent in English
  • Strong Presentation skills, objection handling, and effective written communication and personal impact skills essential
