Full Job Description
Lecturing and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes
Preferred Education:
Ideal:
Honours Degree / Masters in Digital Design, Multimedia Design, Digital Arts or Interaction Design.
Alternatively:
Honours Degree / Masters in Graphic Design, Information Design, or BIS Hons or Masters in Multimedia, with at least 3 years experience as a digital designer in a design studio or advertising agency. MUST show evidence of experience as Digital Designer.
Work Experience
At least 3 years industry experience, with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to conceptualising and crafting for various kinds of brand communication, marketing and advertising. A solid foundation in UI, UX and Interaction Design, 2D animation, motion graphics and video post production is key. A layered portfolio demonstrating ability to engage with complex design challenges and experience and knowledge of the skills listed above. Computer literacy essential, experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required for academic administration and delivery. High proficiency of the Adobe Creative Suite and use of Html5, CSS3 and JavaScript for web design are prerequisites.
Key Performance Areas:
Preparation and lecturing as per the Module Guide
Teaching curriculum outcomes as per contract hours and stipulated per pre agreed timetable
Briefing students for assignments and providing feedback in a timeous manner
Presenting class marks and feedback to the Module discipline Leader and discuss appropriate interventions for improved student success
Actively engaging with current trends in teaching an learning strategies within The IIE VEGA environment.
